Automotive Mechanic Jobs in Des Plaines, IL at Lake Motor Group LLC
Auto dealership in Des Plaines looking to hire a Mechanic. If you’re comfortable working on both imported and domestic vehicles and can handle diagnostics, repairs, and general maintenance, this position is for you.
You will:
- Perform diagnostics and repairs,
- Handle engine, suspension, brake, and electrical work,
- Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, fluids, filters, etc.),
- Inspect vehicles and identify issues,
- Work on a variety of makes and models (imported and domestic),
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Who we’re looking for:
- Proven experience with engine and transmission rebuilds,
- Experience with OEM diagnostic platforms (ISTA / ODIS / similar)
- Ability to work independently without supervision,
- Experience with European vehicles will be an advantage (BMW / Audi / Mercedes)
Schedule:
Mon–Fri: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Sat (optional): 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Sunday closed
Pay:
$25–$40 per hour (based on experience/skills)
