Salary
$27.84/hr per SRP Contract
Duties
- Performs diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of school buses, trucks, plows, other vehicles, and mechanical equipment for a suburban school district.
- May drive vehicles when required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor for Transportation.
- Must provide own tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from a high school, trade school or college and two (2) years' experience in automotive repair work
- OR six (6) years' experience in automotive repair
- OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the above.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class "A" or "B" NYS Commercial Driver's License with passenger school bus air brakes endorsement within 6 months
- Strong working knowledge of and ability to follow all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and reporting methods of the NYS Department of Transportation regarding school bus maintenance, inspection, and operation procedures.
