Automotive Lube Tech AutoNation Auction Jobs in Orlando, USA at Prime Auto Resources, Inc.
The Auction Base Technician possesses general mechanical knowledge of all basic vehicle systems and is responsible for performing vehicle inspections and repairs in accordance with Auto Nation Auction standards.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Diagnose causes of malfunction and note recommendations on the inspection sheet.
- Perform required repairs upon approval from Management.
- Communicate with the Auction Inspection Manager about parts needed.
- Work with efficiency and accuracy.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Record all work to be performed and complete the work order in the Auction System as soon as the job is finished.
- Stay current on the latest diagnostic methods and service techniques for the vehicles.
- Become familiar with latest bulletins, service manuals, and other service publications.
- Communicate regularly with the Auction Inspection Manager to confirm repair and diagnostic information.
- Follow federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- At least two years of automotive experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- General mechanical skills and technical aptitude.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Manual dexterity, good judgment, and ability to operate power, hand tools and other machinery safely.
