Dealership Finance Manager

Position Summary

The Finance Manager works as a key member of the dealership’s management team and is responsible for overseeing the financial and insurance (F&I) process for vehicle sales. This role ensures every customer is offered a complete suite of financing options, protection products, and compliance-driven documentation while providing excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities Finance & Insurance (F&I) Operations

  • Present financing options, extended service contracts, insurance products, and aftermarket offerings to customers in a transparent and customer-focused manner.
  • Secure financing approval through banks, credit unions, and other lending partners.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize all F&I documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Structure deals to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs and lender guidelines.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local laws (e.g., Truth in Lending, privacy laws, OFAC checks).
  • Maintain accurate deal jackets and digital records to prepare for audits.
  • Implement and uphold dealership compliance processes, including menu presentations and disclosure protocols.

Customer Experience

  • Build rapport and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction during the F&I process.
  • Educate customers on financing terms, protection products, and contract details in a clear and ethical manner.
  • Assist sales teams with customer questions and help resolve any concerns promptly.

Lender & Vendor Relations

  • Cultivate strong relationships with banking and lending partners to secure competitive financing programs.
  • Work with product vendors (service contract providers, GAP, tire/wheel, etc.) to stay current on offerings and incentives.

Sales Collaboration

  • Support sales consultants by offering guidance on deal structure and payment solutions.
  • Monitor the deal flow to ensure timely completion from sales to F&I to final delivery.

Performance & Reporting

  • Meet or exceed dealership F&I revenue goals, product penetration targets, and compliance standards.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular financial reports for management.

Qualifications

  • Previous automotive finance manager, F&I manager, or related dealership experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive financing, lending guidelines, and F&I products.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
  • Strong ethical standards and commitment to compliance.
  • Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and F&I software preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
