Role Description The Automotive Finance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cary, NC, responsible for managing the vehicle finance and insurance (F&I) process for dealership customers. This role structures finance and lease deals, presents financing and protection products, and secures approvals from lenders while complying with all regulatory and dealership policies. The Automotive Finance Manager will review credit applications, explain terms and conditions in a clear, transparent manner, and ensure all contracts and documents are accurate and complete. Daily responsibilities include collaborating closely with the sales team, optimizing finance options to support customer needs and dealership profitability, and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions. This role also involves monitoring deal pipeline and funding, tracking key performance metrics, and contributing to a positive, customer-focused showroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in automotive finance or F&I, including structuring retail, lease, and cash deals and working directly with lenders.
  • Strong knowledge of finance products, extended service contracts, GAP, warranties, and other protection products, with the ability to explain them clearly to customers.
  • Proven skills in credit analysis, reviewing credit applications, and matching customers with appropriate financing options.
  • Solid understanding of compliance requirements, including federal, state, and dealership policies related to lending, disclosures, and privacy.
  • Effective sales and negotiation skills with a customer-focused, consultative approach to presenting finance and protection options.
  • Excellent attention to detail in documentation, contract preparation, and deal submission to ensure timely and accurate funding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with sales teams, lenders, and customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Comfort with dealership management systems (DMS), digital desking tools, and common productivity software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, finance portals).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site dealership environment, manage multiple deals simultaneously, and meet performance and funding timelines.
