MBSE Engineer – Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and senior MBSE / Catia Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, be fluent in both Japanese and English, and possess the ability to engage with customers directly. This role involves supporting pre-sales activities, project scoping, assessment/discovery phases, and driving project delivery from a project steering role. Experience with PLM, MBSE, and traceability software solutions is highly desirable. Additionally, the candidate should have a strong understanding and experience with end-to-end RFLP traceability.
Location: Tokyo (Remote Negotiable)
Language: Ideal N2 and above + English. Non-Japanese Negotiable.

Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, understanding their needs and requirements, and providing technical expertise.
- Pre-Sales Support: Assist the sales team and customer solutions team in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, demonstrations, and proposal development.
- Project Scoping and Assessment: Lead the scoping and assessment phases of projects, identifying key requirements and defining project deliverables.
- Project Delivery: Drive project delivery from a steering role, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
- Technical Expertise: Utilize hands-on experience with MBSE, Catia, and various PLM and traceability software solutions to provide technical solutions and support.
- RFLP Traceability: Ensure end-to-end RFLP (Requirements, Functional, Logical, Physical) traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in MBSE, and PLM and traceability software solutions. Hands-on experience on 3DS solutions is a plus.
- Language Skills: Fluency in Japanese (native or JLPT N1 level) and English (business level).
- Technical Skills: Strong technical background in MBSE, PLM, and RFLP traceability.
- Customer-Facing Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and understand their needs.
- Project Management: Experience in project scoping, assessment, and delivery, with a strong track record of successful project outcomes.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in MBSE, Catia, or other PLM and traceability software solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the latest industry trends and best practices in MBSE and PLM.
