Our team is united by one vision: to create the most efficient use of transport for a sustainable world. The Automotive Connectivity Team plays an important role in making that happen. We work on enabling Ruptela devices to gather and interpret data from different types of vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, trailers, refrigerators, and other transport-related machinery.
As an Automotive Connectivity Engineer, you will help integrate new vehicles and equipment into our solutions, investigate data and compatibility issues, test new functionality, and contribute to the improvement of our products and internal tools.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems at the intersection of hardware, software, and vehicle systems, and who wants to grow further in a technical or developer direction over time.
Responsibilities
- Analyze vehicle data, communication protocols, and interfaces to support the integration of new vehicles and equipment into Ruptela solutions.
- Investigate technical issues related to vehicle connectivity, compatibility, and data quality.
- Perform testing of hardware, firmware, and vehicle integration solutions according to specifications.
- Work closely with Firmware, QA, and other technical teams to identify issues, validate fixes, and improve product performance.
- Support customer-facing and non-technical teams in resolving vehicle interface and compatibility-related cases.
- Manage bug-related activities, including reporting, tracking, analysis, and verification.
- Execute manual and automated tests, analyze results, and contribute to regression testing activities.
- Maintain and improve internal databases, documentation, and technical working tools.
- Contribute to research, testing, and implementation of new vehicle connectivity features and solutions.
Requirements
- Technical background in electronics, automotive, telecommunications, embedded systems, or a related field.
- Understanding of basic data communication, diagnostics, or hardware/software interaction principles.
- Analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate technical issues in a structured way.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, logs, and test results.
- Self-motivation, ownership, and willingness to learn new technologies and tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- English language skills.
- Driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel when needed.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with vehicle communication protocols or diagnostics.
- Experience in testing, debugging, or reverse engineering of embedded, automotive, or telematics systems.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools for testing, data parsing, or internal tooling improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in automotive engineering, electronics, telecommunications, physics, or a related technical field.
- Interest in building or improving internal tools, scripts, or automation solutions.
- Motivation to grow toward a more technical specialist or developer path over time.

The salary range for this position is from 2638 to 3300 (gross) per month. As Ruptela is an equal opportunity workplace, the precise salary offered to the right candidate will be based on one’s qualifications, competencies, and professional experiences.
