About the Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Automobile Inspector cum Buyer who can assess vehicle condition, determine fair market value, and close purchase deals directly with sellers. This is primarily an office-based role, with occasional travel required for on-site inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical inspections of vehicles (engine, body, chassis, electricals, interiors, tires, documentation)
- Identify mechanical issues, accident history, and cosmetic defects that affect valuation
- Prepare accurate inspection reports using standard templates/checklists
- Negotiate and finalize purchase prices with sellers within approved margins
- Verify vehicle ownership documents, registration, and legal compliance (RTA/traffic file status)
- Coordinate with the sales and auction team to move purchased vehicles into inventory
- Occasionally travel within Dubai (and other Emirates as needed) for on-site inspections
- Maintain daily activity logs and update inspection/purchase data in the CRM
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in automobile inspection, used car buying, or a related automotive role in the UAE
- Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics, common fault indicators, and UAE vehicle market pricing
- Valid UAE driving license (mandatory)
- Confident negotiator with strong communication skills
- Comfortable with mobile apps/CRM tools for reporting
- English mandatory; Arabic and/or Hindi preferred
