Work Schedule:
Thursdays Only Compensation: $14.00 per hour, with potential additional incentive or commission. A pre‑employment drug test is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days in a safe manner.
- Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on the auction premises, to customer dealerships, and other businesses while observing auction rules, traffic laws, and defensive driving principles.
- Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by a supervisor or team leader; move vehicles as needed and locate “lost” vehicles.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance; inflate tires and jump‑start vehicles using a battery box and air tank when necessary.
- Notify the supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative, and inform the Service or Gas Truck Driver when a vehicle runs out of gas.
- Provide assistance to customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
- Demonstrate a safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
- Participate in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Work overtime as business needs dictate.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience driving vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently, sit for prolonged periods, and walk long distances.
- Capacity to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb as required.
- Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
- Visual acuity to accommodate close, distance, color, and depth perception requirements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous auction experience (preferred).
Work Environment
Frequent outdoor exposure, moderate noise levels, and occasional exposure to weather conditions. The position requires physical tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting within the listed limits.
