Discount Tire is seeking an Assistant Manager – Hiring Now to support day-to-day retail operations in our Automotive (vehicles/parts/service) environment. As an Assistant Manager, you will work on the sales floor and in the service area to help lead a team focused on delivering outstanding customer service, safe and efficient tire and wheel services, and smooth store operations. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help oversee staffing, scheduling, and training, while modeling Discount Tire’s commitment to safety, integrity, and a positive customer experience.
In this hands-on role, you will assist customers with tire and wheel selection, provide accurate product and service recommendations, and ensure work orders are completed correctly and on time. You will help manage inventory, support visual merchandising standards, and monitor shop workflow to maximize productivity and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. The Assistant Manager will coach and mentor team members, support performance feedback, and reinforce a culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and inclusion.
You will handle basic cash handling, point-of-sale transactions, and support store-level reporting and loss prevention efforts. You will also help resolve customer concerns, follow company policies and automotive safety procedures, and uphold Discount Tire’s high standards of service.
