Role Description

The Manager – Health, Safety & Environment is responsible for leading and ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, safety and sustainability requirements across the organisation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mak Mandin, Butterworth, Pulau Pinang, with oversight of multiple plant locations including Alor Gajah and Seremban.

The role focuses on developing and implementing practical strategies, policies and systems to ensure full legal and regulatory compliance while strengthening overall operational performance. It drives a strong safety and sustainability culture, reduces workplace risks and aligns EHS initiatives with business and manufacturing objectives.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic direction with day-to-day execution. The Manager will lead cross-functional coordination, engage internal and external stakeholders and monitor performance to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations across all sites.

The ideal candidate brings at least 8 years of experience in Occupational Safety and Health, including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity. A solid foundation in EHS regulatory compliance and management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 or IATF 16949) is essential, along with exposure to sustainability and risk management practices. Experience in driving digitalisation initiatives using tools such as Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps will be an added advantage.

  • Holds a DOSH Green Book, Certified Safety & Health Officer
