ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee truck service, maintenance, and repair operations across company-owned and dealer workshops.
- Ensure service productivity, turnaround time, uptime, and service quality standards are achieved.
- Establish and enforce SOPs, service standards, and operational best practices.
- Manage dealer network performance, compliance, audits, and capability assessments.
- Support dealer development through training, operational guidance, and process improvements.
- Act as the key liaison with the principal/OEM for all service-related matters.
- Conduct monthly reviews on warranty trends, technical issues, and quality improvements.
- Manage fleet customer relationships, service expectations, and maintenance programs.
- Drive service contract sales, contract renewals, and upselling opportunities.
- Oversee 24/7 call centre and breakdown rescue operations, including SLA management.
- Monitor KPIs such as turnaround time (TAT), first-time fix rate, uptime, and warranty trends.
- Lead and develop service managers, dealer support teams, technicians, and call centre staff.
- Manage operational budgets, profitability, and cost efficiency across service operations.
- Ensure parts availability and optimize inventory levels across workshops and dealer networks.
- Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 15–20 years of experience in truck/commercial vehicle service operations or after-sales management.
- Strong experience in workshop operations, dealer management, and fleet customer support.
- Proven expertise in managing service contracts and after-sales commercial programs.
- Experience handling warranty management, technical escalations, and OEM/principal coordination.
- Knowledge of KPI tracking, service performance management, and operational reporting.
- Experience in 24/7 service operations or breakdown/call centre management is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good business acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and operational efficiency.
