As an Assistant Manager – Career Growth Opportunities at Discount Tire, you will play a key leadership role in the Automotive (vehicles/parts/service) Retail Operations of our store. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help oversee daily operations, ensuring every customer receives friendly, knowledgeable service and a safe, efficient experience. You will support and coach team members on proper tire and wheel installation, safety procedures, and customer service standards, modeling Discount Tire’s commitment to professionalism and respect.
In this hands-on role, you assist with scheduling, training, and mentoring employees, helping them develop their skills and advance within the company. You will engage directly with customers, listening to their needs, offering expert advice on tire and wheel options, and explaining services and warranties in clear, easy-to-understand terms. You help manage inventory, maintain a clean and organized shop and sales floor, and ensure equipment and work areas meet strict safety and quality standards.
You may assist with opening and closing duties, cash handling, and basic reporting.
