ROLE DESCRIPTION

To drive sustainable motorcycle fleet sales growth through the development and management of strategic fleet partnerships, dealer network support, and customer relationship management. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying new fleet opportunities, maintaining existing fleet accounts, supporting dealer performance, and ensuring the successful execution of Honda’s motorcycle fleet sales strategy in alignment with business objectives.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop, implement, and maintain motorcycle fleet sales strategies and business opportunities

2. Grow and sustain motorcycle fleet sales within the Honda dealer network

3. Identify and secure new fleet customers and business opportunities

4. Monitor, manage, and optimize the sales pipeline and sales process

5. Ensure appropriate stock planning and availability to support fleet sales objectives

6. Support the Motorcycle Division in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

7. Build, maintain, and strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships

8. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities

9. Provide sales forecasting, performance reporting, and business insights

10. Promote Honda’s motorcycle products and services across key fleet sectors

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Valid South African Driver’s License/Code A
  • National Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in:

EXPERIENCE

Essential Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in sales, business development, key account management, or fleet sale.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the motorcycle, automotive, fleet, mobility, or related industry
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in managing customer relationships and key accounts
  • Experience working with dealer networks and retail sales operations
  • Experience preparing sales forecasts, reports, and business plans

Preferred Experience

  • OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) experience
  • Motorcycle industry experience
  • Fleet and corporate customer management experience

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Develop, Implement and Maintain Fleet Business

  • Develop and execute motorcycle fleet sales strategies aligned with company objectives
  • Analyse existing fleet business performance and identify growth opportunities.
  • Expand Honda’s presence within targeted fleet markets
  • Develop business proposals and solutions for fleet customers
  • Continuously improving and grow the fleet sales portfolio

Manage Motorcycle Fleet Sales within the Dealer Network

  • Support dealers in achieving fleet sales targets
  • Monitor dealer sales performance monthly and quarterly
  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet penetration and market share
  • Conduct dealer visits and performance reviews
  • Provide guidance and support to improve dealership sales effectiveness

Identify New Fleet Business Opportunities

  • Continuous prospects for new fleet customers and market opportunities
  • Identify opportunities within corporate, security, delivery, logistics, government, and mobility sectors
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Introducing Honda’s fleet solutions to prospective customers

Monitor and Control the Sales Process

  • Manage sales pipeline activities and conversion rates
  • Track leads, opportunities, and customer engagement activities
  • Analyse showroom traffic and lead generation data with dealers
  • Ensure adherence to Honda sales processes and standards
  • Provide accurate sales reporting and recommendations

Ensure Appropriate Stock Levels

  • Monitor dealer and company stock levels regularly
  • Collaborate with planning and supply chain functions to ensure product availability
  • Support forecasting and demand planning activities
  • Minimize lost sales opportunities caused by stock shortages

Support the Motorcycle Team in Achieving Sales Objectives

  • Collaborate with internal departments to drive sales performance
  • Support dealer marketing campaigns and retail initiatives

  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with the Motorcycle Team
