Parts Assistant – Agricultural & Plant
Location: Chippenham
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, plus every other Saturday 8:30am – 12:00pm
Salary: £27,585 per year (based on April 2026 NLW of £12.71/hr)
KM Parts Group is looking for a practical, hands-on person to join our team. We supply parts for agricultural and plant machinery and keep our customers moving with fast turnaround, hydraulic hose repairs, and PTO builds. No two days are the same, and there’s plenty to get stuck into.
The Job
• Serving customers on the counter and over the phone
• Invoicing sales and taking payments
• Supplying parts for tractors, machinery and equipment
• Making up hydraulic hoses
• Building PTO shafts
• Picking and packing orders
• Restocking the retail area and maintaining product displays
• General day-to-day help in the stores
What Matters
• Practical and willing to get stuck in
• Good work ethic and common sense
• Comfortable talking to customers
• Use own initiative to solve problems independently
• Not afraid to tackle something unfamiliar
• Helpful background in agricultural or construction machinery
• Must-have ICT skills, including:
– Confident using computers for order processing, invoicing and stock lookups
– Able to learn parts catalogues and supplier systems
– Comfortable with email, basic data entry, and online resources
You don’t need to know everything — you’ll learn as you go. There’s a lot to pick up, but that’s part of the job.
