AfterSales Area Manager (Automotive) – Salzburg
Our client is a prominent automotive leader driving innovation in vehicle distribution and dealer network support. As they continue to expand their market footprint in Austria, they are looking for a results-driven, highly mobile AfterSales Area Manager to take full ownership of their authorized dealer and service network across designated regions.
Forget traditional desk-bound operations—this is a strategic, high-autonomy field role designed for an industry specialist who knows how to optimize workshop performance, ensure brand excellence, and act as the core commercial bridge between the importer and local service partners.
What you'll do
- Drive Business Performance & Growth: Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across your assigned service centers—including parts turnover, workshop efficiency, labor sales, and warranty costs—to build actionable regional growth plans.
- Act as a Strategic Consultant: Partner directly with dealership management, providing expert coaching and consulting to optimize workshop processes, maximize network profitability, and launch successful aftersales marketing initiatives.
- Uphold Quality & Brand Standards: Conduct regular site visits and formal audits to evaluate service quality, tool equipment, and staff certification levels, ensuring strict compliance with the manufacturer’s corporate identity (CI) and guidelines.
- Elevate Customer Satisfaction (CSI): Deeply analyze customer feedback and satisfaction scores, collaborating directly with dealers to implement swift corrective actions and continuously elevate the service experience.
- Manage Training & Technical Support: Identify ongoing competency gaps within the network to ensure workshop staff complete required certification paths, while overseeing the implementation of warranty policies and supporting dealers through complex goodwill cases.
What we're looking for
- Industry Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience in the automotive industry, specifically within AfterSales, Parts Management, or Network Management, spent either at an importer/OEM or within a large dealership group.
- Education & Background: A degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, or a completed technical/commercial apprenticeship in the automotive sector, paired with relevant advanced training.
- Analytical Mindset & Customer Focus: Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business plans, paired with a solution-oriented, customer-first mindset.
- Relationship & Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities, with the confidence to consult, influence, and negotiate effectively with dealership owners and managers.
- Language & Mobility: Full fluency in German is critical for daily dealer network communication, paired with proficiency in English for manufacturer alignment. A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel extensively within your assigned Austrian region are mandatory.
