If you’re an Accountant who enjoys being close to the operation, understands how stock, production, WIP and financial reporting all fit together, and likes seeing the impact of your work beyond a spreadsheet, this could be the perfect next move!
POSITION INFO:
Our client is a respected Automotive Manufacturing company based in Ekurhuleni, where finance plays a critical role in keeping production moving and the business operating efficiently. They’re looking for an experienced Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting function while partnering with operational teams across the business. From inventory and WIP to month-end reporting and financial controls, you’ll be involved in the numbers that keep the production line running. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full accounting function to Trial Balance Oversee accounts payable, GRNs and supplier reconciliations Manage accounts receivable and customer accounts Monitor WIP, inventory and sales orders Perform GL reconciliations and month-end close activities Process wages, salaries and leave reconciliations Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules Support stock control, inventory reporting and financial analysis Ensure strong financial controls and accurate reporting Job Experience and Skills: BCom Degree in Accounting or Finance essential Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles with 5+ years’ post-articles experience preferred, or 8 years’ commercial accounting experience Manufacturing industry experience is essential Experience working on Syspro or a similar ERP system Strong understanding of stock, inventory, WIP and manufacturing finance Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail Ability to work in a deadline-driven, operational environment If you’re looking for an accounting role where you’ll be more than the person who closes the month, and become the person who helps keep the business moving, then we’d like to hear from you.
